1Who we are

“We” refers to the operator of Get Baby Now. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the Get Baby Now mobile app.

2Data we collect

• Account: your email address.
• Profile: first name, date of birth, height, weight, hair and eye colour, education, job, city, photos and a short bio.
• Optional profile details you choose to add: ethnicity, hereditary or health notes, vaccination status, lifestyle answers, and a health document.
• Approximate location (coarse coordinates) if you allow it, to show distance and newcomers near you.
• Messages you send to matches, and — only when you turn it on for a specific match — your shared live location.
• Technical data: a push-notification token, basic device information, and crash/error reports.

3How we use your data

To create your profile, show you intent-compatible matches, power discovery and the Baby Radar, enable chat and matching, send the notifications you opt into, and keep the service safe through blocking and reporting. Your stated intent and profile attributes are used to determine who you can match with.

4Legal basis

We process data to perform our contract with you (providing the service) and on the basis of your consent for optional data such as location, health disclosures and notifications. You can withdraw consent at any time.

5Sharing

Matched users can see your profile. A health document you upload is shown only to your matches — publicly, only a badge indicates one is on file. We do not sell your personal data. We rely on processors that host the service on our behalf, including Supabase (database, storage and authentication) and Expo (push notifications and error reporting).

6Location

Only a coarse, city-level distance is ever shown in discovery — never your exact coordinates. Your precise location is shared only inside a specific match, only when you explicitly enable it, and you can stop sharing at any time.

7Retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. Deleting your account from the app permanently removes your profile, photos, messages, shared locations and any uploaded document.

8Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your data, restriction of or objection to processing, and data portability. Contact us at the address below to exercise these rights.

9Children

The service is strictly for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly process the data of anyone under 18.

10Security & changes

We use reasonable technical measures to protect your data. We may update this policy; material changes will be indicated in the app. If you have any questions, contact us at getbabynow@gmail.com.
